England, Rayleigh – Today it was made official by Downtown Metal Merch Co. that there will be lightbulb merchandise available for Wintersoul to fans. “In light of Antestor’s pillowcase merch, Holy Blood’s bar of soap merch and a rise in band mug merch – Wintersoul’s new merch is guaranteed to hit it with audiences. Wintersoul, lighting the world up with the Gospel… Or making your winters brighter… Or something like that” Downtown MM Co. wrote on social media.
“We know Wintersoul has fans from all around the world, people who are weird enough to get into metal and Christian metal. So they’ll probably be weird enough to buy this, right?” Downtown MM Co. alledgedly replied in a private message section. “This is a crazy idea, but I’ll buy it!” a fan Joseph Manson commented on the link.
Near publishing time fans who had purchased the item were complaining that upon use the lightbulb would explode. “I didn’t think about it but you really can’t put ink on a lightbulb” a disgruntled fan wrote on Facebook. Another fan was reported to have simply said “that’s so metal!” Since the rise in complaints Downtown MM Co. could no longer be found for comment – Wintersoul released a statement that they had been unaware of what had happened.
